EATING ELSEWHERE is a food blog dedicated to sharing recipes and exploring the implications that Southern identity and culture, disordered eating, and politics have on the food we eat and the way we eat it.
EATING ELSEWHERE is composed of work by Kentucky natives and lovebirds Kayla and Justin. Appalachian-proud writer Kayla Thomas writes content that is influenced by the textures and tastes of her surroundings. She is a writer, baker, and alphabetizer working on understanding Greek. Northern Kentucky native and composition-obsessed Justin Ewing takes photos of their journeys and culinary adventures.
All photos on this site are taken by Justin Ewing and/or Kayla Thomas as they have travelled, cooked, eaten, and explored together.
