Foodgawker

This week I was very excited to have my first post accepted to Foodgawker. After many rejections, they finally took a picture of the Mary Berry Cherry Cake. I also (sort of by chance, if viewing your own website's analytics counts as chance) found out that my Candied Lemon Strawberry Cheesecake was featured on the blog Baking Bites.

So despite my steadily worsening spring cold, I had a few reasons to be excited the past few days and I've done so far my most enjoyable baking experiences. I figured out how to truly impart tea flavor into a cake, made my first successful bougatsa, and stacked wedding cake layers like a badass.

Earl Grey Cake with honey and lemon buttercream. Man-oh-man. Don't worry. We'll get to this one.

All in a day's work. I'll take these successes (they came with some panic and some big failures too, so let me enjoy the moment.).
